International Petroleum and Chemical Industry Safety Protection Technology and Equipment Exhibition Has Been Held in China (Nanjing)

From May 20th-22nd, 2007, China (Nanjing) International Petroleum and Chemical Industry Safety Protection Technology and Equipment Exhibition, mainly organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Association and China Chemical Safety Association, and also supported by Supervision & Test Center of Ex-products of China Chemical & Petroleum Industry (State Work Safety Tianjin Explosion-proof Electric Examination & Test Center), State Administration of Work Safety, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, relevant government bodies of Jiangsu Province, and 43 special commissions, has been held ceremoniously in Nanjing International Exhibition Center.

Mr. Xu Gang, the director of PCEC, has been invited to attend the opening of the exhibition and also visited the exhibition. Leaders also been invited are Mr. Sun Huashan, deputy director general of the State Administration of Work Safety, Mr. Li Yongwu, chairman of China Petroleum and Chemical Association, Mr. Li Quanlin, vice-governor of Jiangsu government, Mr. Chen Gang, vice mayor of Nanjing, Mr. Liu Qiang, deputy director-general of hazardous chemical safety supervision and management division of State Administration of Work Safety, Mr. Yang Weicai, vice chairman of China Petroleum and Chemical Association, and Mr. Zhou Zhuye, secretary-general of hina Petroleum and Chemical Association.etc.

Mr. Sun Huashan, deputy director general of the State Administration of Work Safety, has given a speech during the opening ceremony mentioning: The theme of this exhibition is Exhibiting advanced techniques, protecting work safety. Since implementing the opening and reform policy, we have a fast growth of national economy continuously, especially in the petro &chemical industry. Our national industry has come into the heavy chemical industry stage. In the development of this heavy industry, safety guarantee system should be established with supervision, regulation and science acting as a whole under the principle of safe development. Through incessant improvement of science, more scientific safety supervision techniques of the government, and improvement of the safe work of factories, meet the basic requirement of the work safety. This exhibition is very important for popularizing and application of the scientific achievement in the safe work area and improving the safety supervision level.

Mr. Li Quanlin, vice-governor of Jiangsu government, has given a speech during the opening ceremony mentioning: Jiangsu Province is a big economic province in China. It is now taking efforts to improve the modern industrialization and develop the manufacturing base, trying to make the petro &chemical industry such fundamental industries better and great. This that the exhibition has been chosen to be held here in Nanjing has encouraged and also urged on us. We will pay more attention to the meaning of the exhibition and also the work safety.

Mr. Li Yongwu, chairman of China Petroleum and Chemical Association, has given a speech during the opening ceremony mentioning: The production work in the petro & chemical industry is of high risk. High temperature, high voltage, combustible, explosive, poisonous and noxious conditions make work safety a must. The policy as Safety first, Prevention mainly, Management generally shall be taken into practice. Safety work should be in daily practices. All activities during this exhibition will make the companies focus more on the safety protection, have them communicate on the techniques of safety work, in order to eliminate the potential risks and prevent the accident from happening, as to have a more harmonious society.

This exhibition has attracted many famous manufacturers in this area from both home and abroad. Especially the exhibition hall of Ex equipment has the most outstanding manufacturers of our country. They have exhibited their new products with high quality and technology and the advanced technology. It is the largest Ex exhibition so far in China. The products and techniques exhibited represent the development trend and the level of Ex equipment in our country. Through this exhibition, the manufactures have good communications with the visitors, which helps to spread the image of the manufacturers. It also enhances the manufacturers to spread their techniques and also products in the safety related area and the petro & chemical industry, which is very positive.
