About PCEC

Supervision & Test Center of Ex-products of China Petroleum & Chemical Industry (PCEC)，i.e. State Work Safety Tianjin Ex Examination & Test Center, Test Laboratory of Explosion-proof Electric Products of Tianjin Research and Design Institute of Chemical Industry, is approved by the China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (CNAL) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). PCEC is authorized by State Administration of Work Safety. It is an examination & test laboratory for electric products/apparatus used in special environment (explosive hazard, chemical corrosion and salt mist etc. environment) of China petroleum and chemical industry.

PCEC is an ExTL of IECEx Scheme. It is also recognized by China Classification Society (CCS), Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), and Bureau Veritas (BV)/ Laboratoire Central des Industries Electriques (LCIE).

PCEC has well established quality management system as well as testing and research accommodations, advanced/complete testing apparatus and meter, qualified testing and research personnel and adequate testing resources. Its Quality System complies with ISO/IEC17025: General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. It has the ability to carry out various Ex type tests and other environmental tests defined in GB standards, IEC standards and EN standards.

PCEC has a lot of experienced specialists on mechanical, electric, meters, petroleum and chemical area who are in their heyday. They have rich experience in laboratory test and research as well as on-site tests of work safety. PCEC has undertaken annual quality supervision and selective examination for explosion-proof electric products and also the examination for explosion-proof electrical products for certification of produce permissibility for several years, and also tests for IECEx and ATEX certification. It has finished many research projects of TIanjin city and State Administration of Science and Technology. It has undertaken many examination & tests and technical services in petroleum and chemical, pharmacy and military industry and enterprises.
